When to sign in

Sign in only if you want a profile and Elo-inspired ratings. Ratings update when every player in the match is signed in.

Score and ranking

BlipApps uses an Elo-inspired rating. After each finished game, both players gain or lose points based on the result and the rating gap.

Ratings are updated only when every player in the match is signed in. If someone played as a guest, scores wait until that seat is claimed.

Beating a stronger opponent earns more points. Beating a much weaker opponent earns few or none after rounding. Losing to a much stronger opponent may leave your rating unchanged.

Formula: change = round(32 × (actual − expected)), where expected comes from the rating difference (Elo scale 400).

Win = 1, draw = 0.5, loss = 0. New players start at 0.
